To groom your eyebrows with soap, you can’t use any old soap that is available to you. The main component your soap needs to have to be a brow soap is glycerin. Hallberg recommends transparent soap to avoid dispersing hair with the white residue. And, most of the glycerin products are transparent. Evans recommends Pears soap as it is transparent and has glycerin.
Why not use regular eyebrow gel?
It is because most of the brow gels don’t have the impact and long-term hold desired. Most of the brow gels are water-based, and once the person sweats, the hold factor weakens instantly.
Soap brows have drawbacks too
Hallberg has done lots of soap brows tutorials, and she notices some drawbacks in it as well. She says that if you have a lot of foundation around your brows, it will look weird if the soap gets around your skin. Soap also has the potential to melt down to the eyes due to excessive sweat or water. Furthermore, the continuous use of soap around the eyes can irritate the skin.
